I turned on my printer the other day for the first time since installing Windows 8 and, nothing happened.
The XP drivers I was using dont work, nor do Vista drivers that I found.
Does anyone have any experience of this printer with Windows 8, or can suggest a compatible driver please?

I did it. It is in fact possible to connect a lasershot 1120 to a Windows 7 x64 machine.
It should work for win8, didnt test that but this guide might still be usefull. Not for the faint of heart though, you have to be comfortable with your os.
You need virtual machines for this running win xp.
Get the integration modules going for the printer.
the usb section should list it as shared. Change that to connect, disabling it in Windows 7.
Install the winxp drivers in the virtual machine through devices new printer. Copy those from your original download to the virtual disk before running them. Note that the winspool service crashes. Restart it from services everytime it does. Also check the usb device reverting to shared. Reconnect if it fails. It does that a lot it seems. There is a known bug in canons CAPT driver crashing the spooler service through UMBus enumerator. Because of the virtual machine you cant fix that. sorry.
Make sure to get the canon dep prevention solution and install that as well. Its an exe that can be found at the canon driver site. Itll only work when printspooler is up. At this point I made a link to the desktop for system services. Saves the trouble of going to config.
When everything is installed you should shutdown and restart.
With the printer connected and running start win XP virtual.
Spooler will crash, nevermind. Go to startmenu programs startup and remove the statusthingy from canon.
change the usb devices settings to connected.
check the printer devices, it should show the lbp1120. Opening it will fail, no spooler.
restart the printspooler once more.
Check again, opening the lbp printer should now produce the windows printer box with its status ready Note that the canon tray printerthingy wont report normally, but you should now be able to print stuff to it.
Note: this took me a long time fiddling with win xp, printspooler, restarts, re-installing drivers
Youd have to be pretty determined to make this work as virtual machine is slow, restaring it takes forever and the end result is still flawed, you have to do the whole routine of restarting printspooler after starting the winxp virtual everytime you need it.

Thanks, I tried the Windows 7 drivers to no avail but I did see a note saying the driver is only for 32-bit, I guess it just isnt going to work.

I asked Canon support, and this is what theyve told me:
We unfortunately have no Windows 7 or Windows Vista 64bit drivers available for the Laser Shot LBP 1120.

Well that is disappointing for a major manufacturer to provide only 32 bit drivers for current OSs.
It is probably because that printer has been around a fairly long time, since Windows 98 and Windows

I didnt find any way to make the printer work with 64-bit Windows 8, no, sorry.
This printer will not working until Canon programmers from New Zealand write new driver for x64 bit Microsoft OS. You can look at Canon New Zealand homepage and try to find contact to them.

Хороший принтер. Один из самых популярных в своём классе. У меня такой был на работе. Печатали на нём тысячи страниц в течение нескольких месяцев, работал без сбоев. Плюс дизайн у него стильный. Так что надо брать!

Специально для этого фотоаппарата - нет, как и ни для какого другого. Штатив - штука универсальная, он подходит к любому фотоаппарату, на котором есть разъем резьба под штатив. На этом сanonе она есть.
Выбирайте любой штатив с учетом веса фотоаппарата и удобства использования.
Всегда говорил лучше брать на Батарейках они есть даже в самой ДЫРЕ, а вот аккум и резетку можно и не найти

Здравствуйте у меня после снимков этой камерой есть два формата на карте памяти в фотике, один стандарт jpeg а другой cr2 так вот что с ним делать, почему так сахроняется, не могу его открыть не чем, что делать чтобы все как jpeg сохронялись, спасибо.

винда обнаружила- просит дрова или указать путь- вставляй диск и вбивай не идет? пробуй отключить принтер от компа- отсоедини выбери дрова с нужным там их в комплекте штуки три как тебе нужен на вбивай дрова- вытаскивай перезагружай комп- подсоедини шнур к должно
попробуй посмотреть в проводнике там этот фотик должен быть виден буз всяких дров, заходишь в него и просто копируешь
Почему при печати фотографий на фотобумаге качество фото ни как на мониторе картинка? уже всё делал. борюсь с этим уже лет 5. и не могу ничего Подскажите пожалуйста, у кого проблема была такая - подскажите. Зайди в свойства принтера, сервисобслуживание, попробуй прокачать дюзы, там есть такая функция. Если не помогает - налей в ванночку горячей воды и помакивай аккуратно чуть-чуть нижней частью картриджа, где дюзы, не касаясь водой и руками контактов, чтоб дюзы отмокли, потом вставь и сделай прокачку. Должно помочь.

Картриджи новых моделей струйных принтеров Canon серии Pixma снабжены специальными микросхемами чипами для защиты от повторных заправок. Необходимость сбросить показания счетчика чипа обнулить чип возникает при повторной заправки картриджей, при использовании совместимых картриджей и СНПЧ т.к. они продаются без чипов.
Случай 1: Если появляется окно с сообщением Ink is running low.
Случай 2: Если появляется окно с сообщением Ink has run out.
Счетчик чернил принтера будет дезактивирован навсегда.
Если принтер еще стоит на гарантии, то в его память будет сделана запись, что Вы пользовались перезаправленными или неоригинальными картриджами и тем самым Вы лишитесь бесплатного ремонта в оставшуюся часть гарантийного срока.

Rekam ILook s год назад стоила около 2 тысяч, но именно s12 их много разных, в качестве первого фотика милое дело. кстати у них есть сайт всегда можно получить консультацию.Единственное пришлось купить еще картридер, но он не дорогой что то 250р т.к. он не работал с 7 виндой
насколько мне известно на пиксмы совместимых картриджей нет.только отригиналы.если хотите отличного качества покупайте новые картриджи.если печати много ставьте снпч.но периодически картриджи все равно менять придется.можно перезаправлять-довольно просто.а губки потом можно отмочить и отстирать.

Можно Brazer и Xerpx, но их перепрошивать придется. Это не дорого, но гарантия теряется.

У меня струйный принтер Canon IP4940 купил для печати фотографий на дому. вполне устраивает и картриджи можно перезаправлять.А вообще сейчас продают принтеры Epson со встроенной СНПЧ модель не помню к сожалениювот такой поищите

даже если принтера не будет - то можно заказать, Вам обязательно его достанут. Ещё тут прнтеры заправляют и ремонтируют. Есть другая техника, компьютеры и даже мебель!
однозначно лучше Canon PIXMA iP1900, т.к. картриджи на него значительно дешевле, а в НР печатающая головка расположена в картридже и соответственно цена выше. На Canon легче найти СНПЧ или перезаправляемые картриджи вместо оригинальных картриджей, после того, как краска в них закончится, на картридже открывается пробка и заправляется краской со шприца, вся эта операция выполняется без вынимания картриджа из принтера

Хотя, учитывая, что принтер лазерный, для домашнего использования, большой экономии тонера вы не достигните.
поставьте оригинальные картриджи и прочистите головку оставьте без движения на 2-3 часа чтоб вышел воздух и заново прочистите должно помочь. если же нет то мокрую чистку головки только сервис сами не пытайтесь убьёте принт.
Если установил Virtual Box, а на неё ХР - то без проблем - ставь драйвера на виртуальную. И делай расшаренные папки что б из виртуальной системы файлы из них можно было открывать на хостовой машине. Единственное - на виртуальную нужно установить нужные программы для открытия этих файлов.
У меня на этот случай две ХР У вас ладно, хоть LBP 1120, у меня так вообще - НР 1005, не М1005:

А у него есть eternet-гнездо? тогда в него нужно вставить сетевой кабель и второй конец воткнуть в свич. если такого гнезда нет - значит он или не поддерживает работу в сети, или сетевая карта идет как опция, тогда только через комп.

Если винда 7х32, то скорее всего ДА. Если 7х64, то возможно, но под вопросом.
Заходим на сайт производителя canon и ищем родные дрова. Если на 7 нет, - могут подойти от висты. Соответственно 32 или 64.

Переключателем режимов можно установить только лишь один режим - либо съёмка, либо просмотр воспроизведение, play. Поэтому кина не буде: камера либо снимает, либо воспроизводит.

Canon упоратая фирма, поддержкой старых принтеров не занимается. Если на офф сайте нет, то нужно искать на каких то специфичных форумах.
