HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks known to resolve this issue. When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browsers download capabilities.
After you install the HP Print and Scan Doctor, review this list of frequently asked questions on using the tool.
HP Print and Scan Doctor is not available for Mac OS X operating systems. However, select one of the following items to resolve common printing, connection, or scanning issues.
If your printer is experiencing streaked or faded printouts, color or black ink not printing, documents with blurred or fuzzy text, ink streaks or smears, and other print quality problems, go to the HP Support page, enter your printer model, and then search for the document on fixing print quality problems.
If your printer is experiencing connection issues or an error message displays, go to the HP Support page, enter your printer model, and then search for the document on installing your printer for a wired or wireless connection or for the error message that displays.
For more information on scanning from the control panel, go to the HP Support page, enter your printer model, and then search for the document on scan connection errors or for the error message that displays.
Depending on your printer and the type of driver update, you might need to scan in a different way than you did before. Go to How to Scan to a Mac OS X for information on scanning with a built-in driver.
If your printer doesnt print, is offline, or unresponsive, go to Print Jobs Stuck in Print Queue Mac OS X for more information about these issues.
If your printer does not display on the Welcome screen, turn the printer off and back on, and then click Retry.
HP Print and Scan Doctor can troubleshoot simple connection issues. For detailed information on how to connect your printer or if you get an error message when trying to connect, go to the HP Support page, enter your printer model, and then search for the document on installing your printer for a wired or wireless connection or for the error message that displays.
Check the following items to troubleshoot and resolve common connection issues, depending on your connection type.
Try these recommendations and procedures to help troubleshoot and avoid wireless connectivity issues.
Restart the printer and the computer : Restarting the computer and the printer can clear possible error conditions.
Confirm the printer connection and network name : On your printer, make sure the Wireless feature is on, and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
Some printers have a Wireless icon and a blue light on the printer control panel. Make sure this light is on, and not blinking.
If you connect your printer with a USB cable, HP ePrint does not work.
Manually connect the printer to the network : Many HP printers have a wireless setup wizard tool available on the printer control panel network or wireless settings menus. Follow the on-screen instructions to type your network name and password to connect the printer to the network.
Move the printer and router closer together : Move the printer and the computer closer to your wireless router, but no closer than 6 ft 1.8 m. Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.
Restart the router : If you are experiencing a slow or intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.
Check the router band setting : HP printers only support the 2.4GHz band. If your router is set to the 5GHz band, the printer cannot connect to the network.
Check your firewall software : Your firewall software might prevent the printer from accessing the computer. Accept or allow any firewall messages that display during the printer software download and installation, or configure the software to allow HP downloads and installations.
Check for obstructions between the printer and the router : Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the access point router. Objects such as refrigerators or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless signals.
Check for other devices that emit radio and wireless signals : Move any devices that emit radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. They can interfere with wireless signals.
Set the IP address on the printer : Your printer can bypass automatic IP address assignment by DHCP and use any valid IP address you choose. Use the front panel menu to type an IP address that is valid for use on your local area network.
Try these tips and procedures to help troubleshoot and avoid wired network connectivity issues.

Confirm the network connection : Confirm that your printer is connected to the wired network by checking the cable and the lights on the printers Ethernet port. The green link light should be steady, and the orange activity light should blink when the cable is connected.
Check the cable : Examine the Ethernet cable attached to the rear of the printer to make sure that it is not a phone cable Ethernet cables and phone cables look similar but are different sizes.
Reconnect the cable : Disconnect and then reconnect the Ethernet cable to the rear of the printer, and then plug the cable into another valid port on the router.
Try these tips and procedures to help troubleshoot and avoid USB connectivity issues.
Restart the printer and the computer : Restarting the computer and the printer can clear possible error conditions.
Reconnect the cable : Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer.
Connect to a different USB port : Connect the cable to a different USB port on the computer.
Disconnect from a USB hub or docking station : If you are using a USB hub or docking station, try connecting the cable directly to the Mac.
Try a different USB cable : Use a different USB cable. HP supports USB cables less than 3 meters 9 ft 10 in in length.
Disconnect other USB devices : If you have several USB-connected devices, such as another printer, the computer might not have sufficient power supplied to the USB ports to detect all of them. Disconnect any other USB devices that are not in use.
You can use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check the printers ink levels and to view cartridge details such as install dates, warranty dates, and serial numbers.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor window, click Printer.
In the drop-down menu, select Supply Levels or Ink Levels.
The tool displays the estimated ink levels.
You can use the HP Print and Scan Doctor to test the status of the printer spooler, print queue, device manager, and device conflicts.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor results screen, view the list of actionable results.
If you see white checkmarks, the printer passed the tests. Click Test Print or click Skip.

Click an icon to select the task you want HP Print and Scan Doctor to complete.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostics Page to evaluate the print quality. You can use this information to help to troubleshoot print quality issues such as broken lines, faded or missing colors, and streaks.
If the alignment box and lines from a Print Quality Diagnostics Page are not straight and connected, align the printhead to resolve the issue.
If the color blocks from a Print Quality Diagnostics Page display white lines or colors are faded or missing completely, clean the printhead. If the printhead is badly clogged, you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore normal print quality.
When you need to turn off the printer, always turn the printer off with the Power button located on the printer to avoid issues that require cleaning the printhead.
Print a diagnostic report to view the condition of your printer.
You can use HP Print and Scan Doctor to view the printers IP address, Mac address, signal strength, connection, network, and security types.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor window, click Printer.
In the drop-down menu, click Show Advanced Info.
Review the information that displays to find the IP address, Mac address, signal strength, connection, network, and security types, and other network information about the printer.
If your printer is connected to a wireless network, you can click Show Wireless Info for more information about your wireless connection, such as the SSID name, wireless status, signal strength, and security type.
Firewalls are intended to block threats from outside your network, but can sometimes block communication between devices on your network and cause problems when using network printers. Problems you might experience with firewalls include not being able print, the printer not being found on the network, or the printer status displays as being disconnected or offline, even though the printer is connected to the network. You can use the HP Print and Scan Doctor to troubleshoot issues with the firewall.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor window, click Network.
In the drop-down menu, click Troubleshoot Firewalls.
Follow the on-screen instruction to resolve firewall issues, or click Firewall Help or Online Firewall Help for more information.
You can use the HP Print and Scan Doctor to print the ePrint printer claim code that is required to register your printer with HP Connected.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor window, click Printer.
In the drop-down menu, click Web Services.
Click Print ePrint Instruction Page.
A Web Services information page prints. It contains instructions on setting up your printer with HP Connected. Locate your printers claim code on the sheet, and then input it when you add your printer to the Devices tab in HP Connected.
You can use HP Print and Scan Doctor to view your printer information, such as printer model and serial number, firmware and software versions, page count, warranty status, and printhead information.
On the desktop, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon to open the tool.
Under the Product heading of the Welcome screen, click the name of your printer, and then click Next.
In the HP Print and Scan Doctor window, click Printer.
In the drop-down menu, select Advanced Printer Data.
Review the information that displays to find the printer serial number, warranty status, and other information about the printer, or click Update Firmware to update the printer firmware.

Решено было подключить МФУ 1536dnf к терминальному серверу под Windows 2008R2, дабы тонкие клиенты могли сканировать по сети.
На официальном сайте HP было найдено ПО с драйвером для принтера/сканера, поддерживающее сетевое подключение. Однако установка прервалась сообщением:
Фатальная ошибка не позволяет использовать продукт. Для отмены установки нажмите кнопку Отмена.
Кто бы мог подумать, что для успешной установки драйверов в Windows 2008R2 потребуется установить компонент Возможности рабочего стола Desktop Experience pack.
В разделе Настроить этот сервер щелкните Добавить возможности.
Установите флажок Возможности рабочего стола и нажмите кнопку Далее.
Чтобы завершить выполнение мастера, нажмите кнопку Установить.
Откройте диспетчер сервера: нажмите кнопку Пуск, выделите пункт Администрирование и выберите команду Диспетчер сервера.
Установите флажок Возможности рабочего стола и нажмите кнопку Далее.
Чтобы завершить выполнение мастера, нажмите кнопку Установить.
После успешной установки в принтерах/факсах появится новый принтер, а в диспетчере устройств - устройство обработки изображений HP LJ M1530 MFP Series Scan.
Однако программа для сканирования почему-то автоматически не ставится. Для ручной установки нужно распаковать ПО и запустить. После установки появится ярлык HP Scan на рабочем столе.
Для Windows 7 производитель предлагает еще и полнофункциональное ПО и драйвер От базового отличается наличием ПО для факса, программой для распознавания, документацией и пр. Тем не менее полнофункциональная версия тоже ничего кроме драйверов не ставит.

В момент последнего окошка показанного на верхнем скриншоте Фатальная просто вышибаете процесс установки из диспетчера задач и все, пользуетесь МФУ спокойно.
Проблема похоже в том что в конце установки программа HP очень хочет попасть в интернет, а если его нет, то показывает такую тупую ошибку и пытается удалить все что понаставила. Не дайте себя надурить. Ну и прав предыдущий оратор - МФУ так себе. Если не работает верхний сканер - стопудов грозит ремонт с заменой шлейфа
Ставил принтер HP LaserJet 1525nw на Windows 7x64. Такая же ошибка при запуске установщика с диска. Решение - отключить Доктор Веб антивирус модуль SpIDer Guardна время установки.
HP LaserJet 400 MFU 425dn на Win7x32 на ноуте, фатальная ошибка, во вкладке быстродействие было выбрано Обеспечить наилучшее быстродействие, вылетало на 14%. Вернул в Восстановить значение по умолчанию - все заработало.
Несколько дней потерял, думал все уже выкину но подробнее вчитался в выше написанное и понял когда он пишет про фатальную ошибку, нужно просто запустить диспетчер задач и с помощью диспетчера закрыть!Надеюсь кому поможет
У меня была такая история: родная программа установки не видела принтер. Устанавливался только через установку принтеров с унивресальным драйвером печати.
Соответственно, не работал сканер по сети. Проблему устранил скачав с официального сайта свежую прошивку.
После этого программа установки стала видеть данный принтер, утсановил все родное ПО и стало все работать
А никто не ставил 1536 на windows 2003? У меня никак не хочет работать

Доброго времени! Может кто подскажет. Неделю бьюсь с HP 1536dnf на Win 7 64x, переустановка не помогает прошивал свежей прошивкой, Проблема не работает сканер, twain не найден, не возможно открыть источник. сам МФУ печатает, копирует. Подключен напрямую через USB/
На другом компьютере пробовали?
А как сменить ip у сетевого сканерав программе или добавить второй?
Два IP адреса не возможно. Адрес нужно менять в меню самого МФУ.
HP m1530 подключен через usb к компу с winXP, комп в свою очередь подключен к сети. Все пользователи 5шт видят МФУ, но могут только печатать-сканера не видно. Как сделать так чтобы можно было сканировать всем пользователям.
Если устройство сетевое - подключайте к сети. По usb нельзя.
